I needed to upgrade my wordpress, but I was scared to death. I just knew that my blog would have serious defects afterwards. However, the upgrade progress went pretty smoothly and now I have plenty of confidence to do it again in the future. Afterwards, I noticed how helpful the wordpress community was. The extensive instructions on the site and the forums are extremely helpful. I enjoyed reading your write-up of your upgrades. By the way, did you switch to Hostmonster? The description sounds like it. I couldn't be happier with them, especially for less than $5 a month. I had a very similar experience to yours.
